Blue-White Variable Area Flowmeters

The variable area line of flowmeters include velocity driven float and scale type meters. Meters require in-line or panel mounted, vertical installation. Both gas and fluid models are available.

Just because sophisticated ‘high-tech’ instruments are available, it does not mean we have to use them: simple meters can offer many advantages over more costly and technical types.

Today, there are many types of flowmeters: variable area, positive displacement, ultrasonic, and mass flowmeters, to name a few. Each type has its special features. There is no universal, or perfect flowmeter appropriate for all industries. The right flowmeter for the job is the one that will perform adequately in that application, and at a reasonable expense. The variable area flowmeter offers many advantages over some more costly and technical types, making it the meter of choice for many flow measurement applications.

Blue-White Peristaltic Metering Pumps

Peristaltic style metering pumps are positive displacement pumps which periodically squeeze a tube, pressing fluid from an inlet point to an outlet point. Because there are no valves to clog, peristaltic pumps are suitable for use with gas forming chemicals, such as chlorine. There are three tube material options available which allow for compatibility with a wide range of oil based fluids, acids, and alcohols.

Blue-White Paddlewheel Flowmeters

The paddlewheel flowmeters are designed to be inserted into closed fluid systems to monitor flow. The paddlewheel sensor relays flow information to either an LCD digital display screen, or through wiring to user provided equipment.

Blue-White Ultrasonic Flowmeters

Ultrasonic flowmeters offer flow monitoring through sound waves transmitted between two transducers. No moving parts touch the fluid being measured. Blue-White has developed a hybrid meter which can monitor both dirty (particulate heavy) and clean fluids by utilizing both doppler and transit-time capabilities.
