Semiconductors

Semiconductor chips have reached every corner of our world and are in most electronic equipment we purchase. Semiconductor chips originate from wafers, these wafers originally start out as melted ingots of silicon. The initial ingots are sliced into thin wafers, polished, and coated with Photoresist.

At many points during the semiconductor wafer fabrication process, numerous high-purity chemicals, and deionized water (DI Water) are used for grinding, polishing, cleaning, etching, and coating. iPolymer supplies Teflon® Pneumatic Valves (TP Valves) in support of many of these process steps. iPolymer Teflon® Pneumatic Valves are designed specifically for use in high-purity harsh environments found within the semiconductor wafer fabrication process. The iPolymer TP Valve is machined from a solid block of virgin pure Teflon® (PTFE). The one-piece design allows the valve to handle high temperatures and corrosive acid vapor exposure. These valves are commonly found in acid etching, cleaning, and stripping applications.

Available in several varied sizes, shapes, and designs, iPolymer Teflon® Pneumatic Valves are designed to aid in chemical delivery in the manufacturing process. For companies looking to manufacture semiconductor wafers, various valves and fluid handling devices can help manage a wide range of chemical flow conditions. Many of the process steps can benefit from pure PTFE within the flow path.

High Purity Valves for Life Science Applications

iPolymer’s high-purity fluid handling and actuation products are ideal for applications that require superb performance, which is the case in life science applications. Regardless of whether your life science application requirements include the pneumatic valve, pneumatic flow control valve, pressure regulator valve, shut-off valves, or others, iPolymer has you covered.

Benefits of PTFE Chemical Injection Control Valve Products

Available with several different options, iPolymer chemical injection control valves have been developed to provide an efficient solution to the challenging issues pertaining to chemical dosing. This control valve addresses process chemistries, including fluoride, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, ammonia, chlorine dioxide, chlorine, and peracetic acid. This valve self-regulates and controls the flow rate of the injected chemistry dosage in terms of gallons-per-hour (GPH).

iPolymer offers a PTFE chemical injection control valve product line that provides exceptional performance in a range of challenging environments. These PTFE valves have an all-wetted design that makes them ideal for providing precision, targeted performance for various industrial applications that are highly demanding, including those in the wastewater, general chemical handling, pharmaceutical, and life science sectors. The various products we offer include the 2-Way through 13-Way (or remove altogether) directional valve, pneumatic valve, in addition to pneumatic pressure regulator devices, and PTFE aspirator devices.

As a result of the PTFE construction of these valves, they have outstanding inert features that are perfect for high purity applications and those in which chemical resistance against corrosive substances at a high level is required. PTFE chemical injection control valve is factory arranged with a PTFE pressure regulator that allows numerous inlet source pressures to come from fixed chemical vessels located in storage tanks. No manual adjustments are necessary over time with this control valve with large inlet pressure variations. This valve includes a tapered quarter-turn orifice that regulates media flow to a 10:1 maximum ratio.

Gas Analytics

At iPolymer, we provide cutting-edge fluoropolymer gas transfer and handling devices used across many high-purity industries. Our valves are built to be corrosion resistant, making them perfect for any industrial manufacturer that utilizes chemicals in their processes. Gas Analytics companies utilize our Teflon® (PTFE) 3-Way Solenoid Valves as high-purity A-B Switching Valves. These fast-acting coil actuated valves are ideal for rapid switching between test source gases and standard reference gases. The iPolymer PTFE Solenoid Valve construction is PTFE for all media wetted surfaces.

The Gas Analyzer benefits from this all PTFE design. PTFE is a low extractable, non-leaching, low permeability material that can withstand the corrosive nature of most harsh gases. When analyzing gases down to parts per million (ppm) and even down to parts per billion (ppb), our PTFE valve construction ensure the media remains pure and unadulterated while flowing through the analyzer.

To facilitate the most accurate results possible, it is imperative that all gas analytics processes use precision control when measuring liquid gasoline samples for purity, octane, and other properties. To ensure precision purity and control, iPolymer provides a variety of chemical injection control valves and other liquid transfer devices that help ensure all gasoline is flowing at the correct viscosity and is concentrated at the correct purity. By having liquid transfer devices, such as our chemical injection control valves, iPolymer helps companies maintain offshore operations, even when the chemicals involved are extremely sensitive and need advanced levels of control.

High Purity Valves for General Chemical Applications

It is essential to find reliable, high-performing valves when resistance to corrosive chemicals and other toxic substances is required. At iPolymer, we manufacture valves that are highly corrosion-resistant, and deliver an efficient, cost-effective solution for various industries.

PTFE Corrosion and Chemical Resistant Valves

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is a non-reactive and non-stick coating that is useful in various industries that handle corrosive liquids or gasses, including aerospace, energy, and food & beverage. The iPolymer PTFE HP Diaphragm Valve (HPV) and PTFE Sampling Metered Valve (SMV) we offer are developed and manufactured for use in high purity in aggressive chemical applications. These valves consist of 100% virgin PTFE wetted flow path, and are ideal for uss.

Acid Resistant Valves

Examples of our acid-resistant valves include our stopcock valves that have a PTFE wetted surface design which is ideally useful for corrosive and harsh chemical media and environments. The suckback valves we offer are perfect for photoresist, solvent, acid, and other process dispensed chemistries. These valves pull a vacuum, and stop the dispensing nozzle from dripping excessively.

Chemical Injection Valves

The chemical injection valves we offer are used across many industries, from pharmaceutical to wastewater processing and management. Each individual chemical injection valve we offer consists of PTFE construction which makes it useful for numerous high purity processes and applications. These are highly corrosion-resistant valves that are completely inert. They have minimal maintenance requirements and long service life.

Valve Operations

The chemical injection metering valves we offer are perfect for applications in which precise dosing is required. For the application requirements, these valves can be managed based on the specific flow rate. Due to their corrosion resistance, they can easily handle various corrosive substances such as nitric acid, fluoride, sulfuric acid, and chlorine. iPolymer products make controlling chemical injection valves is easy. We offer a PTFE pressure regulator that considers inlet source pressures coming from different storage tanks and vessels. No ongoing manual adjustment is required for valve design which enables more exact dosing while considering the variations in large inlet pressure.
