Flaring Tools
Flaring Choices for PFA, PEP, PTFE Tubing
In the early 1970s, when PFA & PTFE flare fittings were introduced, a cold plier that stretched the tubing outward was the only available tool for expanding the tube end to fit over the flare nozzle on the fitting. However, this method was crude and placed undue stress on both the tube and the flare joint, as the tubing would often shrink back to its original size shortly after stretching. This issue, combined with thermal and pressure cycling in applications, often led to eventual leaks in the joints.
PFA Fusion Welded Pipe & Tubing Manifolds
Advanced Fusion Welding Equipment for Seamless Pipe Integration
Crist Group has developed proprietary fusion welding equipment that facilitates tube and pipe weldments ranging from 1/16″ to 3″, enabling side fusion welding to tank or piping walls. This approach eliminates excess fittings, ensures full pressure capability, and streamlines systems. Additionally, the equipment allows for angular fitting welds, enabling custom configurations like custom angle elbows and WYE pattern fittings.
Formed PFA Tube Assemblies
High-precision PFA Tube Assemblies with Enhanced Durability
Crist Group stands out with its unique capability to manufacture Formed PFA Tube Assemblies, a distinction that sets us apart as California’s exclusive provider and a global leader in precision and durability. Our proprietary C-SHAPE process forms the entire assembly, ensuring consistent and reliable performance over time by altering material memory to maintain shape integrity, even at elevated temperatures. PFA, also known as Teflon-PFA, offers exceptional chemical resistance, a wide temperature range (-200°C to +260°C), low friction, and FDA approval for pharmaceutical and food & beverage applications. This makes it ideal for transporting corrosive chemicals safely and effectively, while its flexibility and strength ensure durability in dynamic environments.
Specialty Fittings
High-precision PFA Tube Assemblies with Enhanced Durability
Crist Group excels in designing and manufacturing custom PFA fittings tailored to precise specifications, including dip tubes and spargers. Our expertise extends to offering a wide range of flanges crafted from PFA, PTFE, and PTFM, available in various sizes and customizable outlet configurations to suit diverse industrial needs. Moreover, we provide backing rings meticulously crafted from stainless steel or polypro encapsulated steel, ensuring compatibility and durability for specific application requirements.
PFA & FEP Retractable Coils & Spray Rinse Assemblies
High-Performance Tubular Coils: Precision Engineering at Its Best
Crist Group’s coils are meticulously crafted using our proprietary process to achieve precise dimensions that maintain their shape even under constant flex and internal pressures. Designed specifically for recirculation applications, our tube-within-tube coils are engineered to optimize fluid flow and thermal efficiency. Rigorously tested, our coils have demonstrated exceptional durability, enduring up to 1,000,000 flex cycles without any signs of failure, ensuring reliable performance in demanding operational environments.
