Corzan® CPVC is used by leading manufacturers

IPEX’s Xirtec® CPVC Potable Water Piping System

Xirtec® CPVC products are manufactured using the Corzan® CPVC compound you have grown to trust, providing the performance you expect.

Material

While contractors and engineers have traditionally had few viable alternatives to increasingly expensive metal for their potable water distribution systems, IPEX offers a solution that ensures time and cost savings without sacrificing strength or performance. The Xirtec® CPVC system is engineered and manufactured to IPEX’s strict quality, performance and dimensional standards.

Fully-Certified System

Designed to be safely used in potable water distribution systems, Xirtec CPVC is certified to the following standards:
  • NSF 61 (Potable Water Classification)
  • ASTM F441
  • ASTM F437
  • ASTM F439
  • ASTM F1970
  • CAN/ULC S102.2

Chemtrol® CPVC Schedule 80 Fittings by NIBCO

Corzan® chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) Schedule 80 fittings for use with hot corrosive liquids, chemical processing, industrial plating, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, chemical drainage and waste water treatment systems.

Material

NIBCO is a provider of Corzan CPVC valves, fittings and flow control products

Corzan® chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) Schedule 80 thermoplastics demonstrate excellent mechanical strength over broad temperature range, outstanding underground performance and superior hydraulics. Corzan CPVC will not rust, scale, pit or corrode.

Corzan CPVC conforms to ASTM D-1784 Class 23447-B, formerly Type IV, Grade 1. Joined by solvent cementing, threading or flanging. Maximum service temperature 210°F. Corzan CPVC Schedule 80 fittings NSF approved. Meets all applicable ASTM standards.

GF Piping Systems - ChlorFIT™ CPVC Corzan®

The ChlorFIT piping system from GF has pipe and fittings that are molded from durable chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) Corzan® resin.

CPVC is similar to PVC, but is treated with chlorine to create a material that is highly resistant to heat, acids, alkalis, alcohols, and many other corrosive materials. Our Corzan® CPVC compound also has impressive fire resistant qualities-meaning it is very difficult to ignite. This may be useful in applications that require ignited heat sources or in situations that are prone to fire. The wide range of joining options that include solvent welding, threaded and mechanical connections make it ideal for easy, error free installations.

Schedule 40 CPVC

Our Schedule 40 CPVC pipes exhibit exceptional quality that you’ve come to expect from GF Harvel and are simultaneously light, flexible, tough, and have exceptionally corrosion resistance. With CPVC’s ability to withstand higher temperatures than PVC, CPVC is used in applications where the temperatures may reach 200°F (93°C) and can typically be found in numerous applications including chemical delivery systems, hot and cold potable water distribution systems, chemical processing systems, corrosive waste systems, vacuum lines and many other lower pressure applications that require a low-cost alternative to Schedule 80 systems.

GF Harvel also offers various pipe end options including: belled end, gasketed, roll grooved, and threaded as well as custom dimensions and lengths. Schedule 40 CPVC is light gray in color and the pipes have the largest inner diameter of the two schedules offered.

Schedule 80 CPVC

GF Piping Systems Schedule 80 CPVC pipes and fittings exhibit exceptional quality that you’ve come to expect from GF Harvel and are simultaneously light, flexible, tough, and have exceptionally corrosion resistance. With CPVC’s ability to withstand higher temperatures than PVC, CPVC is used in applications where the temperatures may reach 200°F (93°C) and can typically be found in numerous applications including chemical delivery systems, hot and cold potable water distribution systems, chemical processing systems, corrosive waste systems, and vacuum lines. GF Harvel also offers various pipe end options including: belled end, gasketed, roll grooved, and threaded as well as custom dimensions and lengths. Schedule 80 CPVC is light gray in color and is more resistant to crushing and puncture than Schedule 40 CPVC pipe. GF Harvel’s Schedule 80 CPVC pipes also maintain the CSA (Canadian Standards Association) B137.6 approval for sizes 1-1/2” – 2-1/2” only.

ChlorFIT® CPVC Schedule 80 Corzan® Piping Systems

The ChlorFIT® Schedule 80 CPVC piping system eliminates many of the difficulties commonly associated with metal piping systems, such as labor-intensive installation, high material costs, corrosion and poor insulation. It even sets itself apart from other plastic systems, many of which exhibit poor resistance to chlorinated water, have temperature restrictions and durability issues, and require complicated and labor-intensive fusion processes.

ChlorFIT™ Schedule 80 CPVC Corzan® for Industrial Applications

Industrial applications are one of the most demanding solutions for a piping system. Finding the right system that is corrosive resistant, cost-effective, and will last for years is a challenge. The ChlorFIT™ Schedule 80 Piping System from GF Piping Systems is an ideal choice for many of these applications. The high-performance CPVC system has over a 30-year track record in the chemical processing industry. The system reliably handles aggressive chemicals such as nitric acid, sodium chloride, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and hydrochloric acid.

ChlorFIT™ Schedule 80 CPVC Corzan® for Commercial Water

ChlorFIT™ from Georg Fischer is a highly robust complete piping system ideal for commercial potable water applications. The high performance CPVC system will handle a wide range of operating temperatures from 32⁰F to 160⁰F making it suitable for both the hot and cold water lines. Today, in the US, the most common disinfectant method for potable water is chlorination. Chlorinated water, however, over the long run, can attack piping systems, leading to failures in just a few years. Other plastic piping systems such as some polypropylene materials are susceptible to these types of failures.
